Legal System

What’s my overall impression of the legal system, you ask? Well it began with an assumption in pre-Plantagenet England that has survived a thousand years to govern our lives in 2023. It seems logical that two parties fighting each other would produce something, but it doesn’t seem logical that it would be the truth. I don’t see much truth evolving out of the disputes I witness.

But I get it, life is complicated and this was the best system they had. A lot of other assumptions in law have happened since, like motion practice. I am unable to think of a natural-world analog to “light most favorable.” To be fair, there are some things about the law that make so much sense they have become part of the language.

The best things to come out of this storied history are my clients.
